1974 BMW 2002 Targa

This is a well travelled and well sorted classic BMW 2002 Targa by Baur.

Initially delivered in Germany, this car was shipped to South Africa at some stage of its life.  We owned the car in South Africa about 10 years ago before it was sold to a collector in Johannesburg.  He then emigrated to Australia, bringing the car with him, and we traded it in on another vehicle that he bought from us.  The car was restored in South Africa approximately 11 years ago to a very high standard.  Its  condition has weathered well due to it being held in a collection and only used for shows and limited weekend runs.

She is LHD and comes with ultra rare factory fitted aircon.   The refurbished BBS Mahle wheels and wood grained Momo steering wheel are the only non standard fitments to this original vehicle.   There is absolutely no rust whatsoever on this car as it comes from a hot, dry climate.

Mechanically she is 100% and starts first time, drives well with no trace of smoke or oil usage..  There are no leaks and the undercarriage is super clean.  The gearbox shifts smoothly though all gears and she is running on new Michelin tyres.

There is not a cent to be spent on this car, and although not concourse, rates at a strong 8/10 condition wise.  As she is an older restoration, there are minor marks here and there, but nothing that will require attention.

Theses Targas are becoming extremely rare and collectable, especially in this condition.
